About Me
Hi, I’m Catie.
I’m a qualified Social Worker, counsellor, supervisor and consultant - but more than anything, I’m someone who really believes in the power of feeling heard, understood and supported.
For nearly 15 years, I’ve worked alongside children, young people, families, practitioners, leaders and organisations across child protection, human services and the community sector.
Across all of that work, one thing has stayed pretty consistent: people do better when they feel safe enough to be human.
That’s what sits at the heart of my practice.
Whether I’m walking beside someone on the beach for a counselling session, sitting with a practitioner who feels completely overwhelmed, or supporting a team to make meaningful change - I’m interested in the person underneath all the noise.
No judgement. No pretending you have it all together. Just honest conversations, curiosity, compassion and practical support that actually makes sense for you.
How I Work
My approach is warm, relational and person-led.
I draw from strengths-based, solution focused and narrative and trauma-informed approaches, but I don’t believe people fit neatly into one framework or textbook.
Sometimes we need space to unpack what’s going on. Sometimes we need practical strategies. Sometimes we need someone to gently challenge us or help us see something from a different angle.
And sometimes, we just need somewhere safe to say, “Actually, I’m not okay right now.”
My job isn’t to tell you who to be or how to live your life. It’s to walk alongside you while you make sense of things, recognize your own strengths and work out what might help from here.

Kind Words
A few words from people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside.
“I usually find it difficult to open up, but Catie made me feel comfortable and able to share parts of myself. Catie has taught me so much, not only in my role but in the leadership skills I hope to develop. She has helped shape the leader I want to be moving forward”
Lisa.
